Assistant Director, Operations, Outreach and Partnerships, Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering
Allison Bryan-Jungels, MS, CHES, serves as Assistant Director for Operations, Outreach and Partnerships at the Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering (RCHE), a role in which she oversees daily operations for RCHE, works with RCHE's internal and external stakeholders, and oversees curriculum development for Purdue Healthcare Advisors' online training platform.
In 2019, Allison wrapped up a multi-year grant dedicated to guiding 15,000+ Midwest-based providers toward value-based care. Purdue was among 32 partners participating in the Great Lakes Practice Transformation Network (GLPTN), which was funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to implement the CMS Transforming Clinical Practice Initiative (TCPi). Allison’s team of quality improvement advisors guided more than 3,000 Indiana clinicians through the CMS-identified phases of patient-centric practice transformation necessary to effectively participate in value-based payment systems. Faculty experts from Purdue and seven other schools partnered with the advisors to help 90+ clinics, health centers and practices meet associated TCPi milestones as well as self-identified clinical and operational goals. A summary of the program offers a programmatic overview and areas where the network impacted transformation; quality; TCM and CCM; and innovation.
Allison joined Purdue University in 2008 as project manager for a grant-funded project to contain healthcare costs and then transitioned to the PHA-managed Purdue Regional Extension Center in May 2010 to support providers in the adoption of electronic health records (EHR) and the attainment of EHR Meaningful Use. Her career has always centered in the healthcare sector, with previous experience including working in hospital facilities and the health insurance industry.
Allison received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Purdue University. She also is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES), certified Lean Green Belt, and a Lean Daily Improvement Facilitator.
